The Franciska Show

Nov 8, 2018

Tzivia Kay was born in the Former Soviet Union, Uzbekistan, in the city of Tashkent in 1983, and was raised in a Secular Russian speaking Jewish home.  Tzivia remembers demanding for pen and paper and making up songs in her backyard since early childhood. “As a child, I remember dancing around the trees in my backyard and composing my own songs. I pretended to be a singer on stage.”  Tzivia foresaw herself on a big stage and knew that she would become an Artist one day.

In 1993, Tzivia and her whole family migrated to New York, where she grew extremely nostalgic for her former country and friends. She kept writing songs and poems in her native language, “I wrote my first song in Russian on a sheet of paper and repeatedly sang it over.  I called my friends and shared it with them. To my surprise it was a big hit in my neighborhood.” At around 14, Tzivia felt very comfortable to express herself in English and started composing songs and poems in English as well as in Russian.

Today, Tzivia Kay is a bilingual Poet, Singer, Songwriter, Actress, Inspirational Speaker, Parodist, Artist, Producer and a Performer for Women and Girls Only. Tzivia writes inspirational songs to bring herself, her family and others closer to God.

Tzivia Kay released her first CD Album, “Tell Me Why?” in November, 2014 and is currently working on her second Album.  Tzivia enjoys working and inspiring all Jewish Communities. However, her main focus remains Outreach as she herself became Baal Tshuva and can highly relate to the Kiruv Community, hoping to make a difference in people’s lives by bringing them closer to Hashem.  “I had a spiritual wakeup call and realized that my mission is to exalt G-d through my poetry, songs and art.”
